I am turning the site black in the memory of Steve Atherton 1954-2008 who spent the majority of his life working in wildlife conservation. Please do all you can to save and protect the environment.  This domain, Prairie Den, was named after his land. The flowers above are taken from a photo of a prairie he once reconstructed. If you want to give something back to this site, plant flowers, a tree, adopt a pet at  http://www.petfinder.com, give money to your favorite charity. Or just go outside and witness the beauty of a sunset and be grateful for the gift of life.
