Magazine Submissions
Do you want to submit articles or short stories to a magazine? Here is my list of magazines that appeal to many writers. Before submitting your work, visit the official sites to read the writers' guidelines and find out what the editors need. These are usually found in the contact, writer's section, or about us pages. If the location is not apparent, try their search form, FAQ section, or site map. In some instances you can read samples of their articles or fiction on the Web. If not, you can jot down the titles of interest and you may be able to find copies at your local library. This will help you get a better feel for the type of writing they represent and improve your chances for publication. Many magazines also offer sample copies for a reasonable fee. The Wikipedia lists magazines in the United States sorted by category. The World Newspapers site contains an extensive list of magazines and newspapers sorted by topic and country.
