Laurie Anthony
Laurie Anthony, her husband, and their son moved from Ohio to New York City so their son could attend a performing arts high school for one year. Laurie was immediately drawn to the homeless faces on the streets. After only a few weeks there, she knew she wanted to learn more about homelessness and hopefully help someone. Her book was a result of many hours spent with J.C., a homeless panhandler by Carnegie Hall. His story intrigued her and a unique friendship developed between them as she learned more about the challenge of homelessness and the importance of compassion.
