Born in 1942 in Ealing, London, author and illustrator, Colin Thompson, now lives "down under" in Australia.

Colin has written and illustrated many books. The cover of one of his books, How to Live Forever, was used as the logo for the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.

Colin's books appeal to children of all ages. The illustrations are colorful and incredibly detailed, with brilliant puns and trompe l'oeil effects. The stories could easily be described as modern fables. If you haven't yet read any of Colin's books, you've been missing out. "Chez mon you!"
